Constitutional Council

The Constitutional Council adjudicates cases in which the actions of an ASSU officer, body, or member are called into question under our governing documents. Any member of the community may file a complaint under the ASSU Constitution.

The Council is comprised of five members nominated by the ASSU President and confirmed by the legislative bodies. Members serve until they resign, cease to be enrolled students, or are removed by a four-fifths vote of the legislature.

The Council meets on an ad hoc basis. In order to receive notice of meetings, members of the community are invited to subscribe to the mailing list.
